Description
Chalk Education is recruiting for a committed and resilient English Teacher to work with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Leigh. This role involves supporting pupils with very challenging behaviours, so we’re looking for someone confident, experienced, and passionate about helping every learner reach their potential.
The Role
-
Teaching English across KS3 and KS4 to pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.

Delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that inspire and motivate learners.

Managing challenging behaviours effectively within a supportive framework.

Working closely with pastoral and support staff to create a positive learning environment.
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.

Full-time availability – this is a full-time position and commitment is key.

UK teaching experience and recognised qualifications are required.

Proven ability to manage and de-escalate very challenging behaviours.

A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
