Description

Are you an experienced Behaviour Mentor who specialises in working with challenging behaviours? Are you passionate about supporting young people in an inclusive way and looking for a new challenge?

This role is suited to an individual with excellent behaviour management skills and able to positively engage with students. The role will require regularly patrolling the school site, encouraging students back into lessons and conducting wanding duties.

Job Description

This role will involve supporting pupils who display challenging behaviours, on a 1:1 basis/small groups or whole class. Experience and understanding of a range of SEND is helpful and knowledge of skills such as de-escalation is beneficial. Individuals need to be resilient to be able to handle days with heightened emotions from students and occasional disputes between peers.

This role will suit a positive Mentor who is resilient and flexible. The school provides excellent facilities and services. You will work closely with the class teacher assisting with lessons and activities while providing a happy and safe learning environment for the pupils.

To be considered for this Behaviour Mentor role you will need:

· Experience supporting young people with SEMH/Challenging behaviour

· Ideal would be De-escalation / positive handling training

· A positive attitude and flexible approach

o References confirming suitability for role

o Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service

o Eligibility to work in the UK
