Description

An outstanding secondary school in East Finchley (N2) is seeking 2 SEN Learning Support Assistants to provide both classroom and pastoral support for a group of Year 9 pupils exhibiting challenging behaviour.

Job Description

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have a calm nature, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach. You will be expected to go above and beyond to help these pupils thrive in a supportive learning environment. This role involves offering dedicated 1:1 support, running targeted interventions, and delivering regular progress updates to the school SENCO.

The school values staff who are committed to making a genuine difference in the progress and achievement of their pupils. You will work closely with the wider team to safeguard and protect the welfare of children and young people.

Key Details

  • Full-time role: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
  • Start date: ASAP

Requirements

  • Proven experience supporting children with challenging behaviour
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A passion for education and commitment to pupil development

  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
