Chalk are working alongside a Salford provision, who focus on providing tailored support to help students thrive academically and socially. We are seeking a number compassionate and dedicated behavioural support assistants.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with social, emotional, and mental health needs and be committed to creating a nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with SEMH needs in the classroom and during individual sessions.
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Foster positive relationships with students to encourage their emotional and social development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and external professionals to implement support strategies.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with additional needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
