Behaviour focused SEN Teaching Assistant
Secondary School settings
Chalk Education are working closely with a welcoming secondary school seeking a confident and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism and behavioural needs.
This role would suit someone who thrives in SEND environments and understand the importance of consistency, especially within a mainstream setting.
This is a long-term opportunity in a school where support is always given across the school.
THE ROLE:
- Supporting pupils with ECHP’s.
- Working with children diagnosed with ASD (including high sensory and behavioural needs).
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
- Working closely with class teachers and SENCO.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience supporting pupils in a secondary setting.
- Confident managing challenging behaviour calmly and consistently.
- Strong understanding of routine, structure and regulation strategies.
- Team Teach trained (or willing to undertake training).
- -Competitive rates of pay from between £100 - £120 per day (AWR Compliant)
- -On the job training provided by the school
- -24/7 support and feedback from experienced education consultants
Additional requirements:
- References confirming suitability for role
- Commitment to Safeguarding
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
- Eligibility to work in the UK
