Job Description

Chalk Education are looking to employ a special needs learning mentor to work in an Autistic school based in Reading. The individual will be required to work with primary or secondary age children or across the school. Class sizes are small and you will be required to work 1:1 or 1:2 between each child.

To be considered:

  • Must have a proven track record of working within a mainstream school supporting special needs students.
  • Must have experience of working with students between the age of 9-17 years old.
  • Proven track record of tutoring or supporting students with Maths, Science of English.
  • Ability to exemplify patience, understanding and empathy
  • DBS on the update service
  • Live within a commutable distance to Slough

Additional requirements:

· References confirming suitability for role

· Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service

· Eligibility to work in the UKT
