Location: St. Helens SEND School
Position: Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Salary: £90 - £100 per day
Chalk Education is seeking a dedicated Psychology Graduate to join a supportive team as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a St. Helens-based SEND School. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a child with Autism, working one-on-one with a non-verbal child in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised support to a child with Autism, fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualised learning plans.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure effective communication and support.
- Engage the child in meaningful activities to promote social, emotional, and academic development.
- Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment.
Requirements:
- A degree in Psychology or a related field.
- Passion for working with children with special educational needs.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to Safeguarding
- Ability to commit to a long-term role.
