Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant who specialises in SEMH? Are you passionate about Special Needs and looking for a new opportunity?

Chalk are recruiting for this SEMH Teaching Assistant position which is a long term placement starting in September and is the perfect opportunity to join a dynamic Pupil Referral Unit in Salford.

Job Description

This role will involve supporting pupil(s) with SEMH, providing guidance and assistance for the young people to ensure they reach their educational goals.

Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.

To be considered for this role you will need:

· Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification

· 1 year minimum experience in SEND

· Knowledge of working with SEMH / Challenging Behaviour (preferably)

Additional requirements:

o References confirming suitability for role

Commitment to Safeguarding

o Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service

o Eligibility to work in the UK
