Behaviour Mentor – Full Time – Liverpool

Contract Type: Full Time (8.30am-3.30pm), Ongoing

About the Role
Chalk Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and confident Behaviour Mentor to work in a small mainstream primary school in Liverpool, starting after Easter. This is a full-time role supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviour, helping them to re-engage with learning and develop positive relationships in and out of the classroom.
You will work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to provide 1:1 and small group interventions, helping to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with behavioural, social, or emotional needs.
- Build positive relationships to encourage engagement and learning.
- Implement individual behaviour plans and strategies.
- De-escalate challenging situations calmly and effectively.
- Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure consistent support.
- Promote resilience, confidence, and positive behaviour throughout the school day.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced working with children or young people with behavioural needs (school, youth work, residential, or sports backgrounds welcome).
- Patient, resilient, and able to remain calm under pressure.
- Passionate about helping young people reach their full potential.
- Able to work effectively as part of a supportive team.
- Committed to safeguarding
- Ideally holds a DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one).
