A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Haringey (N17) is seeking a compassionate and proactive 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team on a full-time, long-term basis, with an immediate start.
Job Description:
In this role, you will provide 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil with Autism, helping them thrive both academically and personally. As the successful SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Offer tailored assistance to help the student achieve their goals in class.
- Work closely with the class teacher to ensure that the student's individual needs are met.
- Maintain detailed records of the pupil's progress and accomplishments.
- Play a key role in ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all children and young people.
Key Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience working with children or young people.
- A solid understanding of Autism and experience supporting children with additional needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
