SEN Support Assistant – Mainstream Primary Nurture Base
Location: Fazakerley
Start Date: Monday 13th April (after Easter break)
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Long-term role with a view to becoming permanent

Chalk Education is seeking a dedicated and committed SEN Support Assistant to work within a mainstream primary school nurture base in Fazakerley, Liverpool.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity supporting children with Autism, so consistency and commitment are essential to meet the pupil’s needs effectively. The successful candidate must be able to commit to the full role, as building trust, routine, and stability is a key part of the support required.

The role involves working closely with school staff to provide tailored support, helping the child access learning, regulate emotions, and develop socially within a nurturing environment.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism
  • Be patient, calm, and adaptable in approach
  • Understand the importance of consistency and routine
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant / Childcare qualification (desirable but not essential)

Essential requirements:

  • A strong commitment to Safeguarding
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Reliability and willingness to commit to a long-term placement
