Learning Support Assistant (Maternity Cover)
27.5 hours per week
Start Date: January (after Christmas)
Location: Primary School in Hockley, Essex

Chalk education are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly primary school community in Hockley. This is a maternity cover position, starting in January, working 27.5 hours per week.

Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will support children across the school, working closely with class teachers to help pupils achieve their full potential. You will provide both classroom-based support and, when required, work with individuals or small groups to promote learning, confidence and independence.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with primary-aged children (school or childcare setting).
• Is patient, positive and committed to helping children succeed.
• Can build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Works well as part of a team and uses initiative when needed.
• Is reliable, flexible and willing to contribute to the wider life of the school.
