Teaching Assistant (Male) – SEND School, Litherland

About the Role:
Chalk Education is seeking a male Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEND school in Litherland. This is a full-time position, available for immediate start. The successful candidate will work closely with staff and students to provide high-quality support and supervision for male students, including in sensitive situations such as changing for PE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to male students with SEND in the classroom and during school activities.
• Assist with personal care and supervision during PE and other activities where male students require same-gender support.
• Implement individual education plans and support strategies as directed by teaching staff.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
• Support staff in maintaining school routines and promoting student wellbeing.

Requirements:

• Male candidate (to meet safeguarding and student support requirements).
• Experience working with children with SEND is desirable but not essential.
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
